Treatments at the Ayurva Selhurst Clinic

The main treatment approaches that Ayurva undertake in the treatment of our clients Includes:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) groups using the ADAPT’s© treatment programme backed up by a relapse prevention programme.
  • Counselling on an individual and group basis.
  • Psychotherapy on an individual and group basis.
  • Yoga and Music Therapy for stress management and relaxation.
  • Clinical Assessments and Consultations by either a GP or Consultant.
  • Treatment for drug addiction including cocaine, crack and heroin.
  • Treatment for alcohol addiction.
  • Detox programmes.

The main treatment approach used within Ayurva is the ADAPT’s© Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) programme. This prgramme can last from 2 to 12 weeks with Detox and Aftercare available as part of the Care Package. In using this approach individual substance missuse is defined by cognitive behavioural therapists as stemming from thoughts, feelings and behaviour.

Research also shows that therapeutic involvement has ‘direct positive effects on retention’ so the client’s needs and progression are important at all times. Therefore therapeutic involvement is measured by ‘rapport between a client and a programme facilitator, communication participants’ commitment and belief in the quality of sessions’.

Ayurva aims to be the market leader in the provision of cost effective treatment for those recovering from addiction.
